Specifications
There are many types of photovoltaic elements. The main applications are light-emitting diodes, solar cells, photo detectors, and so on. The device characteristics have a great correlation with its current-voltage curve. From single pn junction to multi junctions, from homojunction to heterojunction, from surface microstructures to nanostructure design of active layer, each case has different current-voltage curve characteristics. Measurement of IV curve under solar simulator can help to obtain the energy conversion efficiency and related characteristics such as open circuit voltage (Voc), short circuit current (Isc), ideality factor (FF), series resistance (Rs), and shunt resistance (Rsh).
