During 2008, the total value of machine tools exported from Taiwan reached about 3.8 billion USD, which grew by 12% comparing to 2007. This reflects that after years of development and efforts, the Taiwanese industry of machine tools is now capable of achieving excellent results. Although Taiwan is the only manufacturing country of machine tools that does not have strong automobile industry as backup, its complete chain of supply is capable of providing buyers machine tools with efficiency, excellent quality and competitive price, which makes Taiwan an important supplier in the global market of machine tools.
