Show Info

Presented by Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) and China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC), the 5th China North Printing Equipments & Materials Exhibition (Print North) will be held from July 27th to 30th, 2010 at China International Exhibition Center. The total show area is estimated to reach 50,000㎡, attracting 1000 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors to participate. As one of the important quadrennial printing trade fairs in mainland China, Print North (formerly called Print Expo) has been successfully held four times since its establishment in 1994. Adapting to the rapid development of printing industry, the organizers have decided to rename Print Expo as Print North. It will be held biennially, instead of once every four years.

The word “North” is not only the exhibition name, but also stands for the northern 10 provinces and cities of China, which include Beijing, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan and Shandong. Print North aims to gather advanced and popular printing machineries, services and solutions for printing industry of northern China. It would provide a good platform for printing professionals from home and abroad to seek for business opportunities in this growing market. The organizers will cooperate with related associations in printing and packaging fields to ensure a successful Print North 2010.
Since the reform and opening up of mainland China, the printing market of northern China has been experiencing a rapid developing period. At present, there are about 37,700 printing companies in the northern 10 provinces and cities, occupying 38% of the country’s total, while contributing an annual output value around 140 billion RMB, accounting for 30% of the country’s total. With a favorable industrial foundation, the northern 10 provinces and cities have a tremendous market potential. The objective of holding Print North is to attract domestic and overseas technology and investment to promote the healthy and rapid development of China’s northern printing market.

In 2008, under the impact of global economic crisis, China’s printing industry had to suffer a decline of annual growth rate. However, the total annual output value of printing industry still climbed up to 475 billion RMB, increased by 7.95% from 2007. By the end of 2008, Chinese government carried out a series of policies to stimulate steady and rapid economy growth. After implementing these policies, China’s economic index has begun to rebound and grown up gradually. Since June of 2009, the situation of China’s printing industry is improving rapidly. It is estimated that the total output value of printing industry in 2009 will increase by 8% comparing with 2008. China''s printing industry will return to the track of rapid and stable growth, which will provide an excellent opportunity for holding Print North 2010.
