Characteristics

The direct lamination of chipboards, MDF and HDF boards with melamine resin mpregnated papers is a process which is nowadays indispensable for the upgrading of wood-based boards and panels. Directly laminated boards are used in almost all fi elds
of the furniture industry, for interior fi ttings and in particular in the flooring industry.
Since several decades Bürkle has manufactured press lines for this range of application and has continuously developed its know-how and technology. Bürkle short-cycle press lines are made to customer’s specifi cation – from the simple line for small capacities up to fully automatic highperformance lines.
• Complete lines from feeding to stacking equipment
• Lines designed for up to 180 cycles per hour for single- or multiboardoperation
• Fully automatic lay-up equipment for the substrates and melamine fi lms
• Standard dimensions of the heating platens from 1400 x 2600 mm to up to 2300 x 7800 mm; specifi c pressures ranging from 250 to 500 N/cm2
• High-performance press loading and unloading systems for very short handling times, optionally with alignment units to manufacture synchronous pores
• Allround trimming of the edges and panel saws • Cooling tracks to cool down the
laminated boards
• Fully automatic changing of the caul plates
• Additional automation of the peripheral equipment of the press line such as fully automatic hoopcasing systems, stretch coilers etc.
