Characteristics

Description:
Process-optimized measures due to efficient and flexible final assembly of peripheral permanent vene cannulas, which consists of protective cap, blood collecting plugs, cannula, and capillar assembly groups. At the same time, the set-up time has to be minimized - even though there are up to 78 product variants.

Solution:
Up to now manual assembly of the hypodermic needle and cannula during the machining process has been necessary. This assembly can be done now completely automatic due to the vast spectrum of parts in one single system. Workpiece carriers transport six cannulas and hypodermic needles to the assembly operation. The electric 2-finger parallel gripper EGN fixes the needles, so that they are firmly fixed at a certain tolerance range. An angular gripper is used for gripping the cannulas, and are inserted over the needles. Hereby the significant advantage is the flexibility of the assembly device: The EGN is able to tavel various strokes, and therefore can fix the whole range of hypodermic needles.
