ISO 23952 Quality Information Framework (QIF) is a new standard for quality workflow, which was published in 2020. This standard will facilitate the digital transformation in an enterprise. Based on the Model Based Definition (MBD) and XML, QIF can integrate the information from the design, manufacturing and quality control of a product, and all information will be linked back to the product design. Therefore, the QIF can help an enterprise to build the digital thread among the design, manufacturing and quality of a product, and can contribute to the data collection, big data analysis and AI applications, which will be very helpful for a company in digital transformation.
