3D-Micromac‘s all-new microPREP™ is the first instrument to enable fast, clean, and efficient laser ablation available for the preparation of samples for microstructure diagnostics and failure analysis. Providing key benefits of micromachining using ultrashort pulsed lasers, notably low structural damage, high power densities and targeted precision on the micron scale, microPREP™ is ready to do laser cutting and local laser thinning in semiconductors, metals, ceramics, as well as compounds.
microPREP™ is suited for:
• Fast sample preparation of metals, semiconductors, ceramics and
compound materials
• High accuracy target preparation of ± 3 μm
• FIB and broad ion beam
• TEM, TKD, XRM and atom probe tomography
Options:
• Available as desktop system or stand-alone system
• Application specific processing packages
• External initial workpiece setup station
• Various sample fixtures for different tasks and analysis techniques
• Software recipes for manifold sample geometries and materials
