Equipment configuration and functional requirements
The hospital laundry room needs to be equipped with fully automatic washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, and other equipment. The fully automatic washing machine can complete the integrated operation of washing, rinsing, and dehydration. The capacity selection needs to be calculated based on the number of beds and daily washing volume. For example, a hospital with 500 beds recommends processing 100 kilograms of linen per hour. The isolated double door washing machine adopts a front and rear double door design, and the contaminated area and the clean area are separated by a physical barrier to avoid cross contamination. The equipment material should be 304 stainless steel, with corrosion resistance and easy cleaning characteristics, and support dual disinfection mechanisms of high-temperature washing (above 70 ℃) and chemical sterilization (chlorine bleaching powder, oxygen bleaching powder).

Sanitary isolation and sterilization standards
The laundry room needs to strictly divide the contaminated area (sorting, washing) and the clean area (drying, folding, storage), which are separated by a partition wall or independent space. The linen needs to undergo ultraviolet disinfection and high-temperature pretreatment first, and the washing program should include low-temperature pre washing (to prevent protein stains from coagulation) and high-temperature main washing (sterilization). The bleaching process requires the use of disinfectants to decompose pigment stains, and physical sterilization is carried out using a dryer (above 70 ℃) and a ironing machine (surface temperature of 150-170 ℃). The linens in the infectious disease ward need to be washed separately and equipped with specialized equipment.

Classification Washing and Process Management
Medical linens need to be classified and treated according to material (pure cotton/blend), color (white/dark), and pollution level (ordinary/high-risk). Surgical gowns and other blood stained linens need to be pre washed at low temperature and disinfected at high temperature. Medical staff uniforms need to be checked for foreign objects in the pockets and controlled for loading capacity (80% of rated capacity). The washing program needs to set three elements: water level, temperature, and time. The main washing stage has a water temperature of 60-75 ℃ for 15-20 minutes, and the rinsing stage gradually cools down to avoid wrinkles. Emulsifiers, softeners, and other auxiliary chemicals should be used during operation, and detergent concentration and microbial indicators should be regularly tested.

Equipment selection and energy adaptation
Equipment selection should consider the type of heat source (electric/steam/gas), capacity matching, and after-sales service. Fully automatic washing machines need to pay attention to the dehydration speed (≥ 680r/min) to reduce drying energy consumption, and steam heating models are preferred for dryers to balance efficiency and cost. The price of a 100 kilogram fully automatic washing machine is about 50000 yuan, and it needs to be equipped with a variable frequency motor and a hydraulic shock absorption system to ensure stability. The laundry room needs an independent sewage treatment system and meets the conditions of 380V industrial electricity and steam supply. The site should be far away from pollution sources and have good ventilation.

Standardization Management and Quality Control
It is necessary to establish a washing quality traceability system and conduct monthly random checks on the microbial content of linen (≤ 200cfu/100cm ² and free of pathogenic bacteria). Develop the "Medical Fabric Washing Operation Specification", clarify the operating standards for sorting, loading, storage and other links, and use 250-400mg/L chlorine containing disinfectant solution for 20 minutes for pre-treatment of high-risk fabrics. Regularly maintain equipment seals and lubrication systems, prioritize the use of food grade lubricants, and ensure no risk of chemical contamination.
