Characteristics
HARTING offers two comprehensive solution packages for cabling data networks in industry. Profile-specific cabling is based on standardized industrial and automation protocols, which also include PROFINET. The HARTING PROFINET cabling portfolio comprises types A, B and C PROFINET cables, connectors such as RJ45 and M12, and accessories such as panel feed-throughs and hybrid interfaces for simultaneously supplying devices with data and voltage.
The second solution package is based on the structured cabling defined by ISO/IEC 11801 and 24702 (industrial premises cabling). Unlike profile-specific cabling, this portfolio is always executed with eight wires. HARTING’s Ha-VIS preLink® is a cabling system that outstandingly combines both aspects of industrial-use cabling while also opening up completely new possibilities for PROFINET. For example, Ha-VIS preLink® allows structured cabling up to the automation island, in order to pass the data services seamlessly on to the automation solution. PNO has already recognized this advantage and released the structured cabling for PROFINET Conformance Classes A and B.
